Obanliku youth parliament; Cross River State Youth Parliament inaugurated Obanliku local government Parliament..

The crux of the inuguration is to offered young people across the 10 wards of Obanliku Local government the opportunity to add value to their constituents through deliberation on Government policies and programs that affects young people in their immediate locality, and most importantly adding value to the system by proffering solutions to their immediate problems.

The election of the Obanliku local government Parliament leader took a twist as it was a consensus, where Hon. Abaka Celestine emerged The Leader Of of the first assembly of the Obanliku Cross River State Youth Parliament.

The Leader of first assembly of Obanliku Local government Parliament Hon. Abaka Celestine from Bishiri ward while giving his acceptance speech remarked that \”He beseech for maximum cooperation and support from his colleagues in order for him and the parliament to succeed for the common good of their LGA\”

The speaker of the Cross River State Youth Parliament Rt. Hon Gideon Mbukpa in his opening remarks stated the importance of extending the Parliament to the grassroots, which he details as to create more awareness of legislation to all constituents and giving young people the needed platform to understand the need to build capacity, develop strength and deliver on this mandate through speaking out for young people in their respective wards.
The speaker further noted that the Parliament stands apolitical in her activities and programs.

Hon. Emmanuel Ekpenyong charged the inaugurants on the need to show capacity on the responsibility given to them. Aso Hon. Emmanuel Omang butress that as honorable members they most always speak out on issues relating to youths that isn\’t youths friendly posed to detare the youths ranging from Cultism, unemployment, political thuggery etc
