Princess Bennie Ngebi has issued a disclaimer distancing herself from an audio recording allegedly linked to a business deal involving the late Dr. Eka Williams and Mrs. Gnarly Eyo.
In a statement, Ngebi said she had become aware of allegations circulating in public spaces suggesting that she was the woman who allegedly sent the audio recording to the Governor of Cross River State.
She categorically denied being the person referred to in the allegations and urged members of the public, bloggers, social media users and other commentators to exercise caution before associating her name or identity with the matter.
Ngebi Speaks on Relationship with Late Eka Williams
Ngebi also spoke about her longstanding relationship with the late Dr. Eka Williams, describing him as a trusted friend and confidant.
According to her, their friendship spanned more than 35 years, making his passing a deeply personal loss.
She appealed to those circulating what she described as malicious rumours to allow her to mourn her late friend.
“Rest in Peace Eka Wills, as I used to call you,” she said.

Ngebi further urged members of the public to take note of her clarification and allow the facts surrounding the matter to be established by the appropriate parties.
She stressed that her current focus remains on her business activities and foundation, which she said occupy her time and energy.
The disclaimer comes amid public discussions surrounding the alleged audio recording and the business matter involving the late Dr. Eka Williams and Mrs. Gnarly Eyo.
Ngebi maintained that she is not the person behind the alleged recording and appealed to the public to refrain from attaching her identity to the matter without verification.
