Following the suspension earlier placed on Com. Edward Edward Bassey, suspending him as the Executive President of EFSSAN, there were series of calls with the aim of deliberating and dialoguing between the management, stakeholders and Governor\’s forum which ended in a positive consensus.

Hence, according to Article 13 of sub-section 10 of the EFSSAN constitution that states, \”In the case of any matter(s) calling or resulting to the impeachment/suspension of any
elected officer, such decision shall be
taken by the EFSSAN Parliament on a 2/3
majority votes in a plenary session\”. The EFSSAN parliament have conveyed an
emergency plenary session on the 4th of October, 2023 and hereby lift the suspension earlier placed on the office of the President by 2/3 majority votes of the Parliament.
Com. Edward Edward Bassey by the legal backing of the EFSSAN constitution, have been vested with the power to preside over the dissolution congress holding on the 4th of October, 2023 by 3:00pm, at Open Pavillion, University of Calabar, Calabar.
