Registration of small business in cross river state

The Cross River State Ministry of Wealth Creation & Employment headed by Mr Patrick Egbede commissioner for wealth creation and Employment Cross River State, has commenced the registration of Business Management Organisations (BMOs) including Cooperatives Societies and their members under the Cross River State Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development Program as well as Nano business enterprises to enable them access grants and loans for wealth creation and employment.

The \”People First\” agenda of the administration places emphasis on teaching the people how to \”fish rather than give them fish\”.

The State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has, therefore, engaged a consultant to register, profile, forward and follow up with all relevant Federal Ministries, Agencies, Bilateral and Multilateral Institutions for all eligible businesses to attract grants and loans.

The registration process, which will be done concurrently and coordinated by the consultant in all the 18 Local Councils in the State, commences on Monday 15th January, 2024. BMOs and Nano business enterprises across the State are advised to contact their Local Government Coordinators whose phone contacts are provided and register between 15th to 30th January, 2024 in order to benefit from the loans and grant offers.

MSMEs in Cross River State are advised to take advantage of this opportunity to grow their businesses, create weaith and
employment for the citizenry.
