Two unical female table tennis player are to represent Nigerian university team at Chengdu-China

Two of our female Table Tennis players are to represent our prestigious University and the Nigerian University team in Chengdu – China.

Vivian Oku, a 400level student of Business Education, Faculty of Vocational and Science Education, who won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the last NUGA Games – UNILAG 2022 has proven her status with an outstanding performance which attract the commendations of the NUGA Ag.

Secretary General and the Technical Chairman is worth celebrating. Her partner Oluchi Amah, a 200level student of Political Science- Faculty of Social Science also played her best to make up the team.

This news is a great feast to our University, & our sports loving VC- Prof. Florence Banku Obi, who is taking her words into actions, by this the the Directorate of Sports say a big thank you to you Ma, for being part of this victory; the athletes says they appreciate and love you; they also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the champion Coach- Mr. Mathias Solomon, and are grateful to the Ag. Director of Sports for all the logistics and encouragement made that scale them through.

This victory is Worth celebrating; while we want to enjoined all, to accord our students the opportunity to come out for sporting activities, especially, Wednesdays for keep-fit activities as enshrined in the NUC Benchmark.

Another but sad news is that our golden girl, will soon graduate, as such we will miss her during our NUGA Games – 2026. We wish her a excellent graduation and zenith accomplishment in life, Jesus name Amen. Mean while, there is a clarion call for all, to join our dear capacity VC in the sponsorship of our dream team to this event. God bless us all as we response.
