The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has directed all candidates seeking admission for the 2026/2027 academic session to upload their Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or O’Level results on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal on or before Friday, October 16, 2026.
The directive was contained in a memo dated October 13, 2026, and signed by the University Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Chukwuka I. Icha.
According to the memo, the directive is aimed at facilitating the conclusion of the university’s admission process. The Registrar urged all affected candidates to treat the instruction as urgent and ensure compliance within the stipulated period.
The university’s directive follows reports that some candidates who selected UNICAL as their first-choice institution are yet to upload their SSCE/O’Level results to the JAMB portal.
The Students’ Union Government (SUG), through its Director of Information, Comr. Edama Jude Igbang, also publicised the announcement to inform prospective students of the deadline.
Candidates Advised to Visit Accredited JAMB CBT Centres
Candidates who have not uploaded their O’Level results are advised to visit any accredited JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre to complete the process before the deadline.
Prospective students are urged to comply promptly to avoid complications during the admission process and protect their chances of being considered for admission into the University of Calabar for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates are also encouraged to confirm that their results have been successfully uploaded to the JAMB portal.
