‎The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof Florence Obi has approved the appointment of Prof Sunday Ochigbo as the pioneer Director, Institute of Medical Sciences and Global Health, University of Calabar.

A letter of appointment signed by the University Registrar, Gabriel O Egbe states that the appointment is for a period of two years.
According to the letter, Prof Ochigbo is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration of the new Institute.
