The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar and Chairman of the Senate of the institution, Prof Florence Obi today announced the promotion of 10 Academic Staff to the professorial cadre.
The beneficiaries of the promotion exercise as announced by the Vice Chancellor includes 6 Professors and 4 Associate Professors, drawn from departments in the faculties of Arts, Agriculture, Social Science, Clinical Science and Education respectively.
The new Professors are;
• Stanislaus Iyorza ( Mass Comm),
• German Anagbogu ( Edu.Foundations),
• Dodeye Williams ( Pol. Science),
• Ekwutosi Offiong (Hist& Into Stud)
• Arop Festus Obun (Department of Educational Mgt) and
• Atana Ewa ( Paediatrics).
The new Associate Professors are;
• Dr John Effiong ( Agricultural Extension),
• Dr Edisua Merab Yta ( Theatre & Media Studies),
• Dr Arnold Udoka ( Theatre & Media Studies) and
• Dr Melvina Amalu ( Educational Foundation).
The Vice Chancellor congratulated them and charged them to serve the University with greater zeal.
