University of Abuja Appoints New Female Vice Chancellor

The University of Abuja is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Aisha Maikudi as the new Acting Vice Chancellor. Professor Maikudi, an indigene of Katsina, brings a wealth of academic and leadership experience to her new role.

Professor Maikudi holds an LLB and LLM from the UK and a PhD in International Law from the University of Abuja (2015). She became a Professor at the remarkable age of 39, making her the youngest female Professor from the Northwest region of Nigeria.

As a renowned scholar and administrator, Professor Maikudi has served in various capacities, including Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and pioneer director of the University of Abuja International Centre. Her research interests include United Nations and International Law.
