Infrastructure Rebirth: C’River Deputy Speaker Hails Otu’s Roads Milestone, Celebration with Northern Constituents

Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly and member representing Obudu State Constituency in the 10th Assembly, Honorable Sylvester Agabi, has commended the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu for the ongoing roads construction and rehabilitation in the Northern Senatorial district, demonstrating his commitment to connecting with the community.

Honorable Agabi commended the Governor’s roads infrastructure revolution in different parts of the zone, including his Valentine’s Day engagement with constituents, where the governor spent time with the people at O’quango Hotel in Ogoja Local Government Area. Agabi emphasized His Excellency’s commitment to developing the region, pointing out that he remained in the North to celebrate with residents even after completing a tour of ongoing projects.

The deputy Speaker specifically praised Otu’s strategic development initiatives, which include completed roads in Ogoja, ongoing roads construction in North Ukelle from Wanakom in North Ukelle, road construction in Yache with a link bridge, including the speedy work at the Obudu International Cargo and Passenger Airport, aimed at driving growth and development in the region. He emphasized that the ongoing construction and rehabilitation of roads and other facilities serve as a concrete example of the administration’s dedication to transformative reform, demonstrating a clear commitment to enhancing the region’s infrastructure and quality of life.

“Let me take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Governor, Senator Bassey Otu and the deputy governor for their strong commitment to advancing projects within the state.

“As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, a time typically spent with family and loved ones, the Governor has chosen to be with us, engaging with local communities and inspecting ongoing projects in the North.

“His dedication to infrastructure development and reforms such as completed and ongoing roads projects in the North and the Obudu International Cargo and Passenger Airport is truly commendable and I firmly believe it will propel the state’s development forward,” Agabi noted.

The Deputy Speaker took the opportunity to commend the related government agencies for their outstanding collaboration, which has been instrumental in the successful execution of the projects.
