Awade in his response to calabargist said “I am one of the few persons in CALABAR who respects friendship and I am very Loyal at that.”
Someone on my Contact got my WhatsApp messages and openly responded to me…
“Last Prophet! I will rather travel to Lagos or anywhere else to sponsor and attend a show than attend any comedy show in calabar”
My response was:
“Don’t worry bros! You can go with your money, the industry in Calabar will survive without your support. We are not forcing you to attend our events or sponsor our events sorry for sending you this message sir”
Now here is my worry:
This was the same person who Bought a Table ticket worth 1 million naira during the last Gordons show I was part of the Organisers in Transcorp.
Now here is my question…
Is it that untill we all leave this town before we can get support? Or until we start pretending to be who we are not?
Truth is, I don’t know how to do “Eye Service” and I will not Start learning today.
If you like, sponsor or attend Comedy events in calabar. If you like don’t attend, We will still survive.
