Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs raise alarm over fraudulent activities on Home Grown school feeding

PRESS RELEASE

The attention of the Honourable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs has been drawn to fraudulent acts of some individuals distributing forms under the guise of recruitment of vendors, cooks and cordinators for the Home- Grown School Feeding Programme in Cross River State and such forms are reportedly being sold at the rate of Ten thousand (10,000) naira. We have it on good authority that fake stamps bearing the Cross River Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs is also being used to perpetuate this act.

For avoidance of doubt, we are using this medium to inform the general public that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs CRS is not selling forms for any of such purposes as carried out by certain criminal elements.

The Honourable Commissioner has not permitted or approved anything of such and any information that she is part of it is obviously false, misdirecting and misrepresenting.

The general public is by this notice, adviced to watch out for such criminal elements and ensure they do not fall victims as we will not allow anyone to further plunge innocent Cross Riverians into more poverty through illegal collection of Fees (extortion) with forged documents.

We do not want the selfish interest and criminality of anyone to discredit the Ministry’s Policies on humanitarian services and our dear Governor’s People- First Mantra.

Signed
Dr Helen Isamoh- Egodo
Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, CRS.
