NYCN Calabar South Chairman wish on the celebration of INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION

Our Dear youths of Cross River State,(Calabar South) as we celebrate the International Youth Day with our counterparts globally with the theme:YOUTH DIGITAL PATHWAY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

This initiative aims to empower youths by providing them with digital skills and tools that will enable them to contribute to sustainable development efforts, by equipping young people with the necessary resources and knowledge, so they will be able to create innovative solutions to address pressing environmental, economic and social issues even at this time of hardship.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for choosing dialogue and peaceful resolution over protest and destruction of properties, your wisdom and restraint during these challenging times have not gone unnoticed.

Your commitment to finding common ground and engaging in constructive discussions is a true testament to your strength and maturity by coming together in a spirit of unity and understanding, you are laying the foundation for a better future for all.

I am inspired by your ability to see beyond differences and work towards a shared vision for a brighter tomorrow. Your actions have demonstrated the power of peaceful dialogue in creating positive change in Calabar South.

Thank you for your resilience, your courage, and your commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Calabar South. I, NYCN calabar south chairman is proud to have you as a youth, and i look forward to continuing our journey together towards a more peaceful and inclusive Calabar South.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Governor his Excellency Prince Bassey Edet Otu,The chief of staff to the Governor Hon Emmanuel Ironbar, SA General Duties Mr Ekpenyong Akiba, Holga and critical stakeholders in calabar South for their interventions before the planned protest. Your swift action and commitment to resolving issues peacefully is truly commendable and greatly appreciated by the youths of Calabar South.

I also want to appeal to you to consider the pressing needs of the youths in Calabar South. There is a high unemployment rate among the youths, and many university students are struggling to pay for their tuition fees, there\’s also a need to combat Drugs Abuse and a rehabilitation centre, training of youths in productive Skills. We humbly request for your support in creating job employment opportunities, ensuring timely payment of bursary to university students, and implementing empowerment programs for the youths of Calabar South.

I believe that with your leadership and dedication to the well-being of the people, we can create a brighter future for all youths in Calabar South.

Finally I thank all of us for our continued efforts in making our Local government a better place for everyone.
