Dan Obo Jnr. Emerges Vice President South South, National Executive Council of NYCN Among others

To ensure a seamless transition and continuity of operations, in response to the leadership vacuum created by the expulsion of Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo and some other NEC members, and following due process in accordance with the constitution of NYCN, a new NEC was constituted with the mandate to rebuild the Council, restore its integrity, and reposition it for national relevance.

This team comprises tested, passionate, and youth-driven patriots committed to promoting youth inclusion, national development, and good governance. The new leadership is duly recognized and supported by the vast majority of stakeholders across all six geo-political zones.

The NYCN under Comrade Solomon Adodo reaffirms its unshakable support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and expresses deep gratitude for:

  1. The appointment of a dynamic, youthful cum useful, accessible, and visionary Minister of Youth Development;
  2. The inclusion of young Nigerians in Ministerial positions and as Director Generals cum Executive Secretaries, appointment of young Nigerians into key federal boards, commissions, and strategic roles;
  3. The rollout of transformative empowerment projects for Nigerian youths, domiciled in various Federal Ministries, Agencies, and government parastatals;
  4. And giving a listening ear to our complaints and yearnings.

We are prepared to partner fully with the Federal Government and all its relevant institutions to ensure these interventions are well-communicated, effectively implemented, and equitably distributed to youths at all levels, especially the youths at the grassroots.

We assure Nigerians that under this new leadership, the NYCN will serve as a true bridge between the government and the youth, amplifying government efforts and engaging youth proactively in nation-building, while serving as the veritable cum loud voice of the Nigerian youth constituency.

We call on all youth stakeholders, affiliate-member organizations, state chapters, zonal structures, civil society allies, government agencies cum parastatals, and international development partners to unite behind the new leadership of NYCN.

The time has come to move forward  to reposition the Council as a credible, inclusive, and strategic voice for Nigerian youths. NYCN has reclaimed its space as the veritable vehicle through which the youths at the grassroots will feel the impact of the government and enjoy a fair share of all youth empowerment projects and interventions rolled out by the governments at all levels.
