Governor Otu Approves The Construction Of Over 20KM BAHUMONO Ring Road In ABI LGA

The Governor of CRS, His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has given approval for the construction of over 20 kilometres of the Bahumono ring road in Abi LGA of CRS.

The announcement was made yesterday 10th October 2025 by the Honorable Commissioner for Works, Pius Ankpo Edet, on behalf of His Excellency Sen. Prince Otu, during a stakeholders engagement at the council hall of ABI-LGA as leaders gathered in large numbers.

Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has given approval for the construction of over 20 kilometres of the Bahumono ring road in Abi LGA of CRS.

This development has reinvigorated hopes for the people of Abi Local Government Area, as the BAHUMONO ring road which connects with over 9 autonomous communities in ABI LGA is expected to significantly improve transportation, commerce, and community connectivity.

During his address, Hon Pius assured ABI LGA stakeholders that the government will provide more roads and other infrastructures, reflecting the Governor Otu led administration’s commitment to the “PEOPLES FIRST” mantra.

According to the Commissioner, all necessary preparations have been completed, and work will soon commence to ensure timely completion of phase one of the project likewise assured the people of swift intervention on the dilapidated Ediba road that connects ABI & YAKURR LGA respectively


From my experience traveling on that road today, I can assure you that it demands urgent repairs and we will take immediate action without waiting for the federal government, notwithstanding their no-refund policy he stated
