Dr. Martha Agba Congratulates Monica Ugi, Commends First Lady’s Advocacy for Women Inclusion

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Dr. Martha Agba, has congratulated Mrs. Monica Ugi on her emergence as the State Woman Leader of the party.

Mrs. Ugi was elected during the recent State Congress of the APC which produced a new State Working Committee to pilot the affairs of the party in Cross River State.

In her message, Dr. Agba described the emergence of Mrs. Ugi as a reflection of her dedication, loyalty, and long-standing commitment to the growth of the party and the advancement of women in politics. She expressed confidence that the new Woman Leader will mobilize, inspire, and strengthen women across the state, ensuring greater participation at all levels of party structure.

Dr. Agba also used the opportunity to appreciate the First Lady of Cross River State, Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, for her consistent advocacy for women inclusion and empowerment. She noted that the First Lady’s visible support for women in leadership continues to create enabling opportunities for more women to take up strategic roles in governance and party administration.

She emphasized that sustainable political growth can only be achieved when women are given equal platforms to contribute meaningfully to decision-making processes.
