Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle and sworn in Dr. Taiwo Ladipo as a new commissioner, charging political appointees and public servants to intensify efforts toward delivering the administration’s promises before the end of his second term.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, Governor Makinde said the remaining months of his administration present an opportunity for government officials to consolidate on existing achievements and leave behind a lasting legacy for the people of Oyo State.
The governor urged Dr. Ladipo to see his appointment as a call to greater service, stressing the need for dedication, integrity, and commitment to effective governance.
Makinde noted that every member of his administration has a responsibility to ensure ongoing projects and programmes are completed successfully, adding that the government remains focused on improving the welfare of residents and sustaining developmental strides across the state.
The governor also encouraged all political office holders and civil servants to work together in the interest of the people, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and efficient service delivery.
The development forms part of a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing the performance of the state executive council as the administration enters its final phase.
