Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Set for Surprise Move to Deportivo La Coruña

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to complete a surprise transfer to Deportivo La Coruña after a full agreement was reached between all parties.

The veteran striker will join the Spanish club on a short-term contract, marking another chapter in his illustrious European career. Olympique Marseille will receive a transfer package worth €1.5 million as part of the deal.

Aubameyang, who has enjoyed successful spells with clubs including Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Marseille, brings a wealth of experience and proven goalscoring ability to Deportivo. His arrival is expected to provide a major boost as the club looks to strengthen its attacking options for the season.

The move comes as a surprise to many football fans, with few expecting the former Gabon international to make the switch to Deportivo. However, both the player and the club quickly reached an agreement, paving the way for the transfer to be finalized.

For Deportivo La Coruña, signing a player of Aubameyang’s caliber represents a significant statement of intent. Despite being in the latter stages of his career, the striker remains a respected forward capable of making an impact with his pace, movement, and finishing.

Marseille, meanwhile, have agreed to the transfer after securing a €1.5 million fee, allowing Aubameyang to begin a new challenge in Spain.

An official announcement is expected soon, with Aubameyang set to complete the formalities before joining his new teammates.

The experienced forward will now aim to use his leadership and goalscoring instincts to help Deportivo achieve their ambitions during the upcoming campaign.
