President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for what he described as the remarkable transformation taking place in Abuja, saying the nation’s capital is becoming better under his leadership.
The President made the remarks on Friday night during a special thanksgiving dinner held in Abuja to celebrate the successful inauguration of 31 projects executed across the FCT within 28 days.
Represented at the event by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu said the pace of development being witnessed in the FCT reflects the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
According to the President, nearly 50 years after the creation of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is experiencing renewed growth through strategic investments in roads, public facilities and other critical infrastructure.
Tinubu commended Wike and members of the FCT Administration for their dedication, hard work and sacrifices in delivering projects aimed at making the capital city more functional, accessible and attractive.
He noted that the successful completion and inauguration of the projects demonstrate what can be achieved through purposeful leadership, effective planning and a commitment to public service.
The President also urged officials of the FCT Administration to sustain the momentum by ensuring that ongoing and future projects are completed on schedule and maintained for the benefit of residents.
In his remarks, Wike thanked President Tinubu for his unwavering support, stating that the achievements recorded by the FCT Administration were made possible by the President’s confidence in his team. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering more people-oriented projects that would further transform Abuja into a world-class capital city.
