Fresh political speculation has emerged following a closed-door meeting between the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, and Senator Rufai Hanga of Kano Central Senatorial District.
The meeting, held on Sunday, comes amid increasing political consultations and realignments as parties and key political figures begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Prof. Yilwatda disclosed the meeting in a post shared on his verified X account, where he described Senator Hanga as one of the foremost leaders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State.
