Barcelona has issued an official statement expressing its sorrow following the death of a worker involved in the ongoing renovation of Spotify Camp Nou.
The tragic workplace accident occurred during construction work at the iconic stadium, with the club confirming the worker lost his life on the job.
In its statement, Barcelona described the incident as deeply saddening and extended its heartfelt condolences to the victim’s loved ones.
“FC Barcelona deeply regrets the death of the worker who lost his life yesterday in the workplace accident that occurred during the renovation works at Spotify Camp Nou,” the club said.

According to the statement, Laporta “wishes to personally convey his condolences to the family and places himself at their disposal on behalf of the entire Club.”
The renovation of Spotify Camp Nou remains one of Barcelona’s biggest infrastructure projects, aimed at transforming the stadium into a modern world-class venue as part of the club’s long-term Espai Barça development.
