Juventus Agree Deal to Sign Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham
Juventus have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Guglielmo Vicario, with the transfer now at the final stages.
The Italian goalkeeper is set to join Juventus on loan, with Tottenham accepting a proposal that includes an option to buy at the end of the loan spell. Importantly, the purchase clause is not mandatory, meaning Juventus will have the final decision on whether to make Vicario’s move permanent.
Vicario has been pushing for the transfer and has given his approval to return to Italy. The 29-year-old is now expected to leave Tottenham today as he prepares to begin a new chapter with Juventus.
The move will see Vicario return to Serie A after making a name for himself with Empoli before earning a transfer to Tottenham in 2023. During his time in North London, he established himself as Spurs’ first-choice goalkeeper and became an important part of the team.
Juventus have identified Vicario as their new goalkeeping option and have now secured an agreement with Tottenham. The Italian club are expected to complete the remaining formalities before the goalkeeper officially joins the squad.
For Tottenham, the agreement allows Vicario to leave on loan while retaining the possibility of a permanent transfer should ‘The Old lady’decide to activate the option.
The deal is now considered “Here we go”, with Vicario set to make his return to Italian football and become the new goalkeeper at Juventus.
