Arsenal Agree Deal to Sign Ezri Konsa From Aston Villa
Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign English defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa in a major defensive addition for the club.
The deal is understood to be worth an initial £50 million, with further add-ons included in the agreement. Arsenal have also reached an agreement on personal terms with Konsa and his representatives, clearing another major hurdle in the transfer.
Konsa has established himself as a reliable Premier League defender during his time at Aston Villa, and Arsenal now see him as an important addition to their defensive options.
The 28-year-old’s versatility and experience at the highest level are expected to strengthen Arsenal’s back line as they prepare for the new season. His arrival would also provide greater competition for places across the defence.
With the club-to-club agreement and personal terms now in place, the transfer is moving towards its final stages. The remaining formalities will need to be completed before Konsa can officially be unveiled as an Arsenal player.
The £50m initial fee makes the move another significant investment by Arsenal as they continue to build a squad capable of competing for major domestic and European honours.
