The sexual offence case involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, remains active in the United Kingdom, with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirming that his next court hearing is scheduled for September 15, 2026.
The CPS Press Office confirmed that Poco Lee is expected to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH).
“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS said in response to inquiries.
A PTPH is a procedural hearing in which the defendant’s plea may be taken and the court addresses issues relating to the preparation of a potential trial.
Poco Lee is facing five sexual offence charges, including one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The case is subject to a reporting restriction under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992, which protects the identity of the complainant.
The CPS’s latest confirmation comes amid social media reports claiming that the entertainer had been released from custody and that the complainant had withdrawn the case or reached an out-of-court settlement.
However, those claims remain unverified. Neither the CPS nor Snaresbrook Crown Court has confirmed that the case has been withdrawn, settled or discontinued.
It is also unclear whether Poco Lee remains in custody or has been granted bail, as no official clarification on his current status has been provided.
The proceedings followed reports of Poco Lee’s visit to the United Kingdom for the Davido and Friends concert at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14, 2026.
With the September 15 hearing approaching, the case remains before the court, and its outcome is yet to be determined.
Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence. The charges against him remain allegations, and he is entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in accordance with the law.
