The pre-trial proceedings involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, have been adjourned by a United Kingdom court to February 2027 after he failed to enter a plea.
According to a report by BBC News Pidgin published on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the case was heard at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, where the court fixed February 8, 2027, for the next plea and trial preparation hearing.
The hearing was initially scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, but Poco Lee did not enter a plea after the charge sheet was reportedly unavailable.
The next hearing is expected to provide an opportunity for the entertainer to indicate whether he pleads guilty or not guilty to the charges against him. The plea and trial preparation hearing will also address issues relating to the preparation of the case for trial.
The proceedings are separate from the actual trial, and the adjournment does not determine the outcome of the case.
Poco Lee is facing criminal proceedings in the UK over alleged sexual offences. Earlier reports identified the charges as one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The entertainer has not been convicted of any offence and remains entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in court.
The case will return to Snaresbrook Crown Court on February 8, 2027.
