Medical Director Loses Twin Daughters Two Days Apart

The Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Nguru, Yobe State, Prof. Hadiza Abdullahi Usman, has been thrown into mourning following the deaths of her twin daughters, Dr Hadiyah Usman Abdullahi and Aidah Usman Abdullahi.

Dr Hadiyah, a medical doctor, and her twin sister, Aidah, a pharmacist, reportedly died within two days of each other.

The tragic development has sparked an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends and members of the medical community, who have expressed sympathy with Prof. Hadiza and her family over the devastating loss.

The deaths of the sisters have also drawn attention because of their professional backgrounds in healthcare, with both having pursued careers dedicated to caring for others.

Details surrounding the circumstances and causes of their deaths were not immediately available at the time of reporting.

The family is expected to announce funeral arrangements and other details in due course.

The development comes as a deeply painful loss for the family, particularly their mother, who serves as the Medical Director of FMC Nguru.
