Dr. Adeniyi Tinubu Chairs Strategic Session as Senators, Federal Lawmakers, Former Minister, Technocrats and Political Leaders Deliberate on Campaign Operations

ABUJA, October 28th, 2026 — The Logistics and Operations Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has intensified preparations for the 2027 general election following a strategic meeting held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The meeting, which took place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, brought together prominent members of the committee, including senators, members of the House of Representatives, Former Minister for Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, High Chief Edem Duke, technocrats and experienced political stakeholders to deliberate on operational strategies and logistical arrangements for the forthcoming presidential campaign.

The session was chaired by Dr. Adeniyi Tinubu, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Logistics and Operations, who led discussions on strengthening the committee’s operational framework, improving inter-agency coordination and establishing effective mechanisms for the smooth execution of campaign activities nationwide.

A major focus of the deliberations was the need for a comprehensive logistics structure capable of supporting campaign engagements across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

Discussions also examined transportation arrangements for officials, delegates and campaign personnel; the deployment of operational equipment; vehicle maintenance, fuelling and convoy support; and the proper handling, storage and distribution of campaign materials and branded items.

The committee further considered venue preparation, post-event demobilisation, restoration arrangements and the establishment of effective communication channels to facilitate real-time coordination before and during campaign activities.

These priorities reflect the importance of an integrated operational system in ensuring that campaign engagements are properly planned, efficiently executed and supported by the necessary personnel, equipment and resources.

The diversity of participants underscored the committee’s effort to draw on political experience, institutional knowledge and technical expertise in developing an effective framework for the party’s 2027 presidential campaign.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration among the committee, relevant stakeholders and local organising committees. Early engagement, the nomination of designated liaison officers and the timely exchange of operational information were identified as important measures for achieving seamless coordination.

Participants emphasised that effective logistics and operations would be critical to the successful implementation of the party’s campaign programme, particularly as preparations progress towards the 2027 general election.

The committee’s deliberations form part of broader efforts to establish a coordinated and dependable campaign support structure that can respond to operational demands across the country. Other members of the Committee include Hon. Oden Ewa, APC Senatorial Candidate for Cross River Central.

The meeting ended with renewed emphasis on teamwork, accountability, timely planning and the effective deployment of resources in support of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential election.I q
