The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that Nigerians may experience more economic hardship, predicting that additional taxes could further increase the financial burden on citizens.
The cleric described Nigeria’s economic situation as an “economic time bomb,” expressing concern about the country’s economic direction and the possibility of worsening living conditions.
Ayodele warned that the hardship currently being experienced by Nigerians could become more severe, particularly if the government introduces additional taxes without adequately addressing the economic challenges facing the population.
He also expressed concern about the impact of such developments on ordinary Nigerians, especially low-income earners and households already struggling with the rising cost of living.
His warning comes amid continued public concerns over inflation, the cost of essential goods and services, and the financial difficulties facing many families across the country.
The cleric’s remarks have added to ongoing conversations about Nigeria’s economic future and the possible challenges citizens may face in the coming months.
However, his prediction about further hardship and additional taxes remains his personal warning and should not be interpreted as an official government announcement.
