JUST IN: Adeboye Breaks Silence Over Viral Placard Report, Accuses Journalists of Misrepresentation

Written by Mary Bassey

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has dismissed reports claiming that he carried a placard during a protest against the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Adeboye accused some journalists of misrepresenting the date and circumstances surrounding a prayer walk during which he reportedly carried a placard.

The renowned cleric insisted that the incident was wrongly linked to Jonathan’s administration, arguing that the reports created a misleading impression about when the event actually took place.

His clarification comes amid renewed attention to the placard incident and claims circulating about his alleged protest against the former president.

Adeboye’s statement has drawn attention to the importance of verifying dates and details before publishing reports, particularly on sensitive political and religious issues.
