‘Breaking Bad’ actor Dean Norris is reportedly heading for divorce from his wife of more than two decades, Bridget Norris, amid financial difficulties involving their jointly owned restaurant, which has filed for bankruptcy with over $1.8 million in liabilities.
According to reports, Bridget filed for divorce in Riverside County, California, on February 14, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. Court documents reportedly listed January 15, 2025, as the date of their separation.
The couple got married on October 27, 2001, and share five children, including two minors.
In her divorce petition, Bridget reportedly requested joint legal and physical custody of their children, spousal support and a court determination of how properties acquired during the marriage should be shared.
Dean Norris reportedly responded to the divorce filing in May 2025, although proceedings had not been finalised as of the latest reports.
The marital development comes amid financial challenges involving the couple’s restaurant, Swing Inn Cafe, located in Temecula, California.
The historic restaurant, which the couple acquired in 2022, reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on September 25, 2026.
According to bankruptcy documents cited by Page Six, the business listed approximately $147,810 in assets against liabilities of about $1.81 million.
The financial records also reportedly showed that the restaurant experienced a significant decline of approximately $1 million in gross revenue between 2024 and 2025.
Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows businesses to restructure their debts while potentially continuing operations, meaning the filing does not automatically indicate that the restaurant will shut down.
Beyond the restaurant business, Dean and Bridget also jointly operate the Norris Performing Arts Center in Murrieta, California.
Dean Norris, 63, is widely recognised for portraying DEA agent Hank Schrader in the popular television series Breaking Bad. He also reprised the role in its spin-off, Better Call Saul.
