C’River Participate In 20th Akwaaba Travel Africa Market, Showcase Her Tourism Products.

 

The Cross River State ministry of tourism, arts and culture in heartwarming exhibition’s, have showcased the unique tourism products of the State to the world in the 20th Akwaaba Africa travel market held at Lagos State, which includes the alluring carnival display, wildlife exhibition and other tour packages.

The Akwaaba Africa travel market which is designed to market tourism products of different countries in Africa and beyond has over the years maintained collaboration with Cross River State to promote her tourism products for further enhancement of the tourism sector.

The Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon.Chief Robert Abubakar Ewa who led the Cross River delegation to the festival, appraised the organizers of Akwaaba for the confidence they have built on Cross River over the years, reiterated that Cross River is a tourism friendly state and will continue to encourage the Akwaaba festival through precise collaboration for promotion of tourism products displayed at the event.

He emphasized the need to foster the already existing relationship between Akwaaba and Cross River State to promote extensive participation in the tourism sector, make positive impact in the industry and market the tourism products for further advancement and wealth creation in the industry.

The 20th Akwaaba Africa Travel Market event organized by Amb Ikechi Uko was attended by a prestigious delegation from Cross River State that includes, the Honourable Commissioner for Tourism,Arts and Culture Hon. Chief. Robert Abubakar Ewa, Chairman Carnival commission Mr Gabe Onah, Executive secretary Austin Cobham and all commission members, Special Adviser Tourism development Mr Tom Ikpeme, The Managing director cross river tourism bureau Mr Ojoi Ekpeyong and the general manager crbc. Also in attendance were artist and tourism professionals from different African countries who showcased their different tourism products.
