Gov Ayade Determined to Sustainable Agro Industrialization & Development, as 2022 Batch-A Trainees Graduates

The Cross River State Governor, Senator Prof. Ben Ayade, has expressed determination to support farmers and agro Entrepreneurship development towards improving livelihoods of the people of Cross River State.

Ayade, known as the champion of Agro-allied Industrialization in the country, reiterated his commitment to the people of Cross River State during the graduation ceremony of 2022 Batch A Trainees in CSS Farms and Training Center, Gora, Nassarawa State.

Governor Ayade, represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Martins Orim, emphasized the significance of capacity building in strengthening technical abilities of agro-preneurs in a productive economy for increased GDP, food security and sufficiency to the teeming population of the country.

In his welcome speech, Chairman CSS Farms, Prof. John Kennedy Opara re-echoed the need for trainees to actualize their mission of becoming accomplished entrepreneurs, noting that \”vision defines one\’s destiny and attracts resources\”.

Prof. Okpara drew the attention of trainees to pilot areas that are critical to preparing and improving farmer\’s productivity which includes entrepreneurship development in agri-business, farm irrigation and machinery, vegetable production in greenhouse and hydroponics, modern methods of rice & maize production, poultry production, fish farming, value chain and branding.

In their separate remarks, the excited trainees took turns to appreciate Governor Ben Ayade for his commitment to building competent agro-preneurs who have been privileged to attend high class trainings offered by ISAC, as well as heaping praises on the CSS Farms\’ Chairman for not only impacting fresh skills in agriculture, but also fostering their spirituality.

The passing out ceremony which was attended by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture and Value Chain Development, Mr. Emmanuel Anoh, Chapter Chairman of APC Ogoja LGA Mr Paul Adinye, Director-General School to Land, Chief (Mrs) Angela Odey and many others featured choir rendition, photo galleries, presentation of certificates and awards to the trainees and others alike.
