It is on this note to inform the general public that a memo from the office of the state security adviser to the governor of Cross River State has sent a notification to all youths in the state regarding the CRS NYCN election suspension.
According to the letter, no new date for the election was mentioned, but rather it has been suspended.
In quotes, “I write to inform you that the Youth Council Elections slated to take place on June 19, 2024, if allowed to take place, would cause a breach of security in the state. In view of this, this office strongly advises that you suspend the event to allow for amicable resolution of the contending issues before proceeding. You are encouraged to heed this advice to prevent a breakdown. of law and order in the state, as anything on the contrary would not be entertained. Treat me as important and accept my warm regards always.
It’s expected of all youth in the state to stay calm and wait for other instructions when they are due.
