MultiChoice Nigeria, the owner of DStv and GOtv, has announced a reduction in subscription fees for its services in Nigeria. This decision comes after a court ruling deemed the company\’s recent price hikes unjustified.
The price reduction affects all DStv and GOtv packages, with prices returning to their previous rates. The revised prices are as follows:
DStv:
– Premium package: N29,500 (down from N37,000)
– Compact+ package: N19,800 (down from N25,000)
– Compact Bouquet: N12,500 (down from N15,700)
– Confam package: N7,400 (down from N9,300)
– Yanga package: N4,200 (down from N5,100)
– Padi package: N2,950 (down from N3,600)
GOtv:
– Super+ package: N12,500 (down from N15,700)
– Super package: N7,600 (down from N9,600)
– Max package: N5,700
– Joli package: N3,950
– Jinja package: N2,700 (down from N3,300)
The court ruling also directed MultiChoice to offer a month-free subscription to affected customers, but it is unclear if the company will comply with this directive.
