Engr. Bassey Nkposong the Managing Director, underscored the significance of dry season farming as a positive revolution that guarantees a steady food supply throughout the year.

Expressing concern over the rampant vandalization of government property, the Managing Director condemned such actions, likening them to an ill wind that does nobody any good. He stressed the importance of safeguarding public assets for the benefit of the entire community.

The chairman of the water users association at the Onna project, Mrs. Abasido Nkoro, while commending the authority for the provision of the irrigation facility for the farmers, made a case for the availability of tractors to enable the farmers to maximize their productivity.

A representative of the chiefs of the community and General Secretary Nung Ndem Clan Council (Rev) Etukudo Essien He thanked the authority for choosing the clan for the flag-off of the program and assured that the community will take advantage of the facility and increase the productivity of its farmers.
