The Honorable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, CRS, Hon. Helen Isamoh-Egodo, Ph.D., attended a 1-day workshop on “Growing a Sustainable Revenue and Tax Base in Cross River State.”
The event is organized by the Cross River State Internal Revenue Service (CRIRS) in conjunction with LANI consultations at the Transcorp Hotel, Calabar, on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
During the workshop, exploring content on regaining the revenue aspect, guidelines and procedures for supervisors responsible for state revenue management were taught.
It was an interactive workshop where staff and invitees were opportune to speak out their experiences with tax collection and the terms and conditions that need to be in place when making returns to the government from different branches of revenue offices.
The commissioner for humanitarian affairs, Hon. Helen Egodo, was pleased to be at the workshop, where she learned more concerning the relationship between state Internal Revenue Service and the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
