Businessman and investment expert Farooq Oreagba, popularly known as “Mr Steeze,” has shared the remarkable story of how his fortunes changed dramatically within five years.
Speaking on the MENtality show hosted by media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and co-hosted by singer Banky W, Oreagba disclosed that he was a dollar millionaire at the age of 30 but found himself working as a labourer in England by the age of 35 after losing his banking job.
The episode, published on Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s YouTube channel on Friday, focused on wealth, material possessions and the lessons life teaches when circumstances suddenly change.
Reflecting on his experience, Oreagba explained that financial success is never guaranteed and that people should avoid tying their identity or self-worth solely to money and status. According to him, life can change unexpectedly, making resilience and character more valuable than material possessions.
To drive home his message, he posed a hypothetical question to Ebuka, asking whether a person who suddenly lost all their wealth would also lose their value as a human being. The discussion encouraged viewers to rethink society’s obsession with money and outward success.
Oreagba’s inspiring story has since sparked conversations on social media, with many praising his honesty and the life lessons shared during the interview.
