The Organizing Committee of the Cross River State Football Association has released the 2nd Round Pairings of the ongoing 2025 CRS Governor’s Cup Competition. According to the fixtures, all second-round matches will be played on Tuesday, 25th November 2025, while the Quarter-Finals are scheduled for Thursday, 27th November 2025. Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee of the State Football Association has issued sanctions to Local Government Teams that withdrew from the competition and left their designated centers for their local government headquarters. The affected teams are: Obubra United – Obubra LGA ABIWAVES FC – Abi LGA Akpabuyo United – Akpabuyo LGA Each team has been fined ₦500,000 for refusing to continue with their fixture obligations in the 2025 Sweet Prince Cup, thereby bringing the competition into disrepute. The fine is to be paid within 30 days, failure of which will attract additional sanctions and possible suspension from future CRSFA competitions.
