His Youthfulness Commr. Dan Obo
Chairman NYCN Cross River, SA Youth Mobilization CRS
Dear Mr Chairman,https://calabargist.com/perceived-unrest-in-henshaw-town-nsidung-community-calabar-south/
I am writing to you today on behalf of many concerned residents in Nsidung Community in Henshaw Town regarding the growing unrest, Nightmares and dissatisfaction that has been spreading among the members of our community and youths in particular. As someone who deeply cares about the well-being and prosperity of our community, I believe it is crucial to address these matters for the betterment of all.
Over the past few years, there have been several issues that have arisen which have negatively impacted the quality of life for many of us. These issues include but are not limited to:
1. The unlawful arrest and imprisonment of our community leaders and members in the persons of HRH Etubom Efio Ita Effiom(President Henshaw Council), Chief Effanga Effanga Okon, Chief Andem Ekanem Ekeng, Chief Victor Inyang, Mr Eyo Ewa Eyo, Mr Etim Essien Oku by one Chief Nyong Effiom Okon and this was done without proper hearing.
It is evident that these issues are affecting the well-being and safety of our community members. We believe that immediate action needs to be taken to address these pressing concerns and restore peace and harmony in our neighbourhood before things get out of hands.
On this same Matter, the Women of the community led by Obongawan Barbara Etim James went on a peaceful protest and it seem to be Abortive. The youths of the community have threatened to take laws into their hands if Etubom Efio-Ita Effiom and others are not release from Prison. I wish such unrest that happened in Ogoni Land shouldn\’t occur in Calabar south hence, a stitch in time saves Nine.
As a Youth Leader of the Local Government, I appeal to you to convey this message to the Government and appropriate Security Agencies to take prompt action to mitigate this growing nightmares.
As a concerned citizen, I urge you to take our grievances seriously and work towards finding sustainable solutions to these problems. We would greatly appreciate your prompt attention to these matters and your commitment to improving our community for the benefit of all residents
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Effanga Offiong
Chairman NYCN Calabar South.
