Real Betis Agree Deal to Sign Troy Parrott From AZ Alkmaar
Real Betis have reached an agreement to sign Troy Parrott from AZ Alkmaar, with the Republic of Ireland striker set to become their latest attacking addition.
The deal is worth around €20 million, with documents now being prepared ahead of Parrott’s move to Spain. The 24-year-old is expected to travel to Seville soon to complete the final stages of the transfer.
Parrott has emerged as a key figure for Ireland and will now take the next step in his club career by joining Betis. His goalscoring ability and physical presence are expected to provide Manuel Pellegrini’s side with another option in the final third.
The transfer marks a significant investment from Real Betis as they look to strengthen their attacking department ahead of the new season. Parrott’s arrival will also give the club greater depth and competition for places in the striker position.
With the agreement in place, the remaining steps are expected to be largely formalities, including the completion of paperwork, medical checks and the player’s official signing.
Parrott is now on course to leave AZ Alkmaar and begin a new chapter in La Liga with Real Betis.
