UNICAL Mass Communication Student Allegedly Caught Over Anonymous Messages in Calabar

A young female student of the University of Calabar’s Mass Communication Department was reportedly confronted in Calabar after being accused of sending anonymous messages to individuals and groups, an incident that has generated widespread reactions on social media.

According to eyewitness accounts and a video circulating online, the student was allegedly identified as the person behind several anonymous messages sent to different people over a period of time. The messages were said to contain personal allegations, rumours and other sensitive information that reportedly caused misunderstandings among friends and within social circles.

In the viral video, the student was seen surrounded by several people who questioned her over the allegations. Although she was heard responding during the confrontation, the full circumstances surrounding the incident could not be independently verified at the time of this report.

The incident has since sparked debate online, with many social media users condemning the alleged misuse of anonymous messaging platforms, while others urged the public not to rush to judgment and called for due process.

As of the time of filing this report, the Cross River State Police Command had issued an official statement regarding the incident, stating that they have no order or authority on the matter as all issue about the case is and should be directed to Departments of state services cross river state.

The incident continues to attract attention as many await official clarification from the relevant authorities.
