The Executive President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Calabar, Sen. Ebong Vordina Francis, has paid a courtesy visit to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Cross River State Command, ASP Sunday A. Eitokpah, MNISMA, in a bid to strengthen collaboration between the student body and the Nigeria Police Force.
The visit formed part of the SUG administration’s efforts to build stronger relationships with key institutions while promoting the welfare, security, and interests of students.
Accompanying the SUG President were the Chief of Staff, Comr. Wisdom Abraham; Director of Information, Comr. Edama Jude; Chief Press Secretary, Comr. Okonkwo Goodluck Olisaemeka; Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties, Comr. Samuel Chukwumobi; and the General Secretary of the Nigerian Union of Campus Journalists (NUCJ), Comr. Umoh Samuel.
During the meeting, ASP Sunday A. Eitokpah reaffirmed the Cross River State Police Command’s commitment to maintaining a cordial relationship with the University of Calabar student community. He also expressed the Command’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that promote peace, security, and mutual understanding.
In his remarks, Sen. Ebong Vordina Francis thanked the Police Command for the warm reception and reiterated his administration’s commitment to engaging strategic stakeholders in advancing the interests of students and fostering a safe academic environment.
The visit ended with an exchange of goodwill and a group photograph, symbolising the shared commitment of both parties to sustained partnership and cooperation.
