The Management of Tinapa Resort Strengthens Partnerships with stakeholders to Secure Key Concessions for Revitalization

The Management of Tinapa Resort, Calabar, Cross River State has announced plans as part of its broader mission to transform into a major Leisure and industrial Zone in Africa, while contributing to Nigeria’s economic development.

The Zone Management team disclosed this on Tuesday when they paid a courtesy visit to Managing Director of the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) Dr Olufemi Ogunyemi in Abuja.
This high-level engagement aimed to clear the final regulatory hurdle with NEPZA, following significant concessions achieved in recent months to foster Tinapa’s growth.
Tinapa’s General Manager, Dr. Francis Ekom, said that the restructuring of the international resort centre will unlock greater value and enhance competitiveness on the global scale.
Ekom underscored Tinapa’s importance to the people and government of Cross River State as well as economic impact to the nation.
He lauded the Executive Governor of the state; Sen. Bassey Edet Otu for the excellent achievements recorded by his administration which has holistically repositioned the state for the attraction of investments and industrialization.
He said “I thank His Excellency, Governor Sen. Bassey Edet Otu, whose efforts to resolve the AMCON issue have set Tinapa on a renewed path of growth and opportunity.”
“I want to express sincere gratitude to the head of Cross River State National Assembly Caucus; Hon. Mike Etaba, who has pledged to advocate for Tinapa. In that same spirit, I thank Dr Ogunyemi for his support and commitment to Cross River’s economic future and I am hopeful Tinapa will be fully revitalized”, he added.
The Managing Director NEPZA; Olufemi Ogunyemi, said they are prepared to extend the Authority’s cooperation to ensure that the desire of the administration to revamp the Tinapa Free Trade Zone & Resort is realized.
He commended the Management of Tinapa for taking steps towards the overall promotion and preservation of the resort.
