The Announcement Date for 2024/2025 UNICROSS Matriculation Ceremony has been released
The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) is excited to announce the upcoming Matriculation Ceremony for all newly admitted First-Year, First-Degree students for the 2024/2025 Academic Session. This marks an important milestone for the university and its newest members, as it officially recognizes their entry into the academic community. The Matriculation Ceremony will take place on the following dates:
– Calabar Campus: Thursday, December 12, 2024
– Ogoja and Okuku Campuses: Friday, December 13, 2024
All students intending to participate must adhere to the following important guidelines and requirements:
1. Mandatory Payment of Fees
It is compulsory for all newly admitted students to settle their school fees in full, including the Matriculation fee, before the ceremony. This is a crucial requirement for participation. Students who fail to fulfill this obligation will not be included in the Matriculation Register and will forfeit their admission for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.
2. Matriculation Register
Students who do not complete the payment of their fees will be excluded from the Matriculation Register and will not be allowed to take part in the ceremony. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the cancellation of their admission for the current academic year.
3. Deadline for Payment
The university will not entertain any requests for payment of school fees after the scheduled Matriculation Ceremony. Students are advised to make all necessary payments before the deadline to ensure their participation in the event.
4. Registration and Documentation
Once fees are fully paid, students must proceed to their respective Departments and Faculties for the completion of their registration and documentation process. Additionally, they are required to collect their Matriculation Gowns from the Faculty Officers upon presenting evidence of full payment.
5. Return of Gowns
Matriculation Gowns must be returned to the Faculty Officers within two (2) days after the ceremony. Any gowns returned later than one (1) week post-ceremony will incur a late-return fee of N2,000.00 per day. It is important for students to adhere to this timeline to avoid unnecessary charges.
6. Expected Conduct
All matriculating students are expected to exhibit the highest level of decorum and professionalism during the ceremony. Any acts of misconduct will not be tolerated and will lead to disciplinary actions by the university.
In Conclusion
The University of Cross River State is committed to ensuring a smooth and successful Matriculation Ceremony. We rely on the cooperation of all newly admitted students to make this event memorable and seamless. For further inquiries or assistance, students should contact the Office of the Registrar.
We look forward to welcoming the new students to the university community. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
