The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) Prof. Offiong Effanga Offiong has approved the termination of the appointment of the current Admission Officer, marking a fresh administrative adjustment within the institution.
In a related development, the Senate of the University of Calabar has also approved the appointment of new Deputy Vice-Chancellors following deliberations at its meeting held today.
At the meeting, Professor Ekaette Enang was elected as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), while Professor Egrinya Eneji emerged as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Linkages and Collaboration).
The newly elected officers will take over from Professor Tony Eyang and Professor Okafor, respectively.
The appointments are expected to strengthen academic leadership, research advancement, and institutional collaborations within the university.
Members of the university community have congratulated the newly appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellors and expressed optimism that their leadership will further enhance UNICAL’s academic excellence and global relevance.
