Manchester City Close to Securing New Deal for Joško Gvardiol Until 2031

Manchester City are closing in on a new long-term contract agreement with defender Joško Gvardiol, with the proposed deal set to keep the Croatian international at the Etihad until June 2031.

Gvardiol has attracted strong interest from Real Madrid in recent months, with the Spanish giants monitoring his situation closely. However, City are now confident that the 23-year-old will commit his future to the club after being offered improved terms.

Sources indicate that negotiations have progressed positively, with both parties moving closer to a final agreement. Manchester City are optimistic that the deal will be completed soon, bringing an end to speculation surrounding Gvardiol’s future.

Since joining City from RB Leipzig, Gvardiol has established himself as a key figure in the squad, showcasing his versatility, defensive quality, and ability to contribute in attacking areas. His performances have made him one of the most highly rated defenders in European football.

The club views Gvardiol as a crucial part of Enzo Maresca’s long-term project and believes securing his commitment will be an important step in maintaining stability and success in the coming seasons.

With talks entering the final stages, Manchester City are hopeful that an official announcement will follow shortly, confirming Gvardiol’s extended stay at the club.
