The Regional Leader of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that suspected terrorists threatened to kill him and members of his congregation, just days after nine of his relatives were reportedly murdered in attacks on communities in Plateau State.
Dachomo disclosed this in a statement shared on his official X account on Friday, revealing that the threat was contained in a letter allegedly sent by the attackers.
According to the cleric, copies of the letter have already been submitted to relevant security agencies for investigation and necessary action.
He said the letter, written in both Hausa and English, warned that he would be the next target and would soon be attacked and killed.
The pastor described the threat as disturbing, especially following the recent killing of nine members of his extended family during violent attacks in Plateau State.
He called on security agencies to act swiftly to protect lives and ensure those behind the threats and attacks are brought to justice.
The latest development comes amid growing concerns over recurring violence in parts of Plateau State, where communities have continued to suffer deadly attacks that have claimed many lives and displaced residents.
