# Manchester United Agree Radek Vitek Sale to Middlesbrough in Permanent Transfer
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Middlesbrough for the permanent transfer of goalkeeper Radek Vitek, as the club continues to reshape its goalkeeping department ahead of the new season.
The deal is worth an initial £7 million, with performance-related add-ons that could see the total package rise to £14 million. Vitek has been given the green light to undergo his medical before completing the move to the Championship side.
United have also secured important future protections in the agreement. The club will retain a 35% sell-on clause, ensuring they benefit from any future transfer involving the Czech goalkeeper. In addition, the Red Devils have negotiated a buy-back clause, giving them the option to re-sign Vitek should he continue his development and impress at Middlesbrough.
Vitek’s departure comes on a busy day for Manchester United’s goalkeeping department. Earlier, goalkeeper Altay Bayindir also completed a move to Celta Vigo, marking two significant exits as the club looks to streamline its squad.
The transfer represents a major opportunity for the highly rated goalkeeper, who will now have the chance to compete for regular first-team football at Middlesbrough. Consistent playing time is expected to play a key role in his development as he aims to establish himself as one of the promising young goalkeepers in English football.
