Calabar Great Gospel Crusade 2026: CfaN Announces Four-Day Evangelistic Outreach
The Christ for All Nations (CfaN) has announced the Calabar Great Gospel Crusade 2026, a four-day evangelistic programme scheduled to hold from Thursday, November 12 to Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the Calabar International Conference Centre (CICC) Ground.
The announcement was made by the Executive Africa Director of Christ for All Nations, Rev. John Darku, during an address to members of the press in Calabar.
The crusade will begin at 4:00 p.m. daily and is expected to bring together Christians, churches, residents and visitors from across Cross River State and beyond.
Why Calabar, Why Now?
Rev. Darku described the crusade as more than a religious gathering, saying it represents an opportunity for spiritual renewal and evangelism in Cross River State.
He said Calabar, popularly known as the Canaan City, was chosen as the venue for the outreach because of the city’s history, hospitality and strategic position in the region.
According to him, CfaN’s previous crusades across Africa have resulted in what the organisation describes as transformed lives, renewed communities and strengthened churches.
He said the Calabar crusade was being organised with the conviction that no city or people are beyond the reach of God’s mercy. “We come because the harvest is ripe. We come because the time is now.”
Crusade to Strengthen Churches in Cross River
Rev. Darku explained that the programme is not intended to compete with churches in Cross River State but to complement and strengthen their evangelistic and discipleship efforts.
He said converts from the crusade would be connected with local churches for continued discipleship and spiritual growth.
The CfaN Africa Director expressed optimism that the programme could contribute to renewed interest in church fellowship and strengthen congregations across the state.
Organisers Highlight Economic Benefits
Beyond its spiritual objectives, Rev. Darku said the four-day event could also generate economic activity in Calabar as thousands of people converge on the city.
He identified hotels, restaurants, transportation operators, markets, traders, artisans and other businesses as potential beneficiaries of increased activity during the crusade.
According to him, the expected influx of visitors would provide opportunities for businesses within the hospitality and informal sectors.
CfaN Links Gospel Outreach to Peace and Social Cohesion
Rev. Darku also spoke about the potential role of the gospel in promoting peace, tolerance and social cohesion.
He said a population transformed by Christian teachings could contribute to reducing social tensions and encouraging peaceful relationships among citizens.
He stressed the importance of unity in Cross River State and Nigeria, particularly in addressing divisions along ethnic, religious and political lines.
Focus on Personal Transformation and Prosperity
The CfaN executive said the crusade would also emphasise personal transformation, arguing that renewed minds and a sense of purpose could encourage individuals to become more productive in their families, businesses and communities.
He linked spiritual transformation with what he described as sustainable prosperity, saying the programme would encourage participants to pursue purposeful and productive lives.
Evangelist Daniel Kolenda to Lead Ministry
Rev. Darku also highlighted the ministry of Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, President of Christ for All Nations, who is expected to minister during the crusade.
He described Kolenda as a key figure in the continuation of CfaN’s evangelistic work following the ministry’s founder, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.
Darku said CfaN’s evangelistic outreaches under Kolenda’s leadership have reached large audiences across Africa and other parts of the world.
He stressed that the focus of the ministry remains the preaching of the gospel and the salvation of souls.
Rev. Darku Calls on Media to Promote Crusade
The Executive Africa Director called on media organisations across Cross River State to support the crusade by creating awareness and providing adequate coverage of the programme.
He urged radio and television stations, newspapers, online publishers and social media platforms to help spread information about the event.
He appealed to journalists and media practitioners to view themselves as partners in communicating the message of the crusade to residents across the state and beyond.
“Do not treat this as just another press briefing to be filed and forgotten. Treat it as a call to partnership in the greatest news story you will cover this year.”
Calabar Set for November Gospel Crusade
The Calabar Great Gospel Crusade 2026 is scheduled for November 12–15, 2026, at the Calabar International Conference Centre Ground, with activities commencing at 4:00 p.m. daily.
Rev. Darku urged residents of Calabar, Cross River State and neighbouring communities to prepare to participate in the four-day programme.
He expressed confidence that the crusade would leave a lasting spiritual impact on the city and the wider Cross River community.
