Accreditation of new JAMB CBT Centers for 2025 UTME.
The Joint Administration and matriculation Board has begun the accreditation of new Computer based Test centers in Nigeria.
This is in preparation for the 2025 United Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB’s Communication Adviser disclosed this information in his official statement released on Sunday the 17th of November, 2024.
He pointed out that this process of accreditation of New Centers is very essential to ensure the smooth and fair running of 2025 UTME.
WHAT IS THE JAMB CBT CENTERS ACCREDITATION?.
Accreditation of JAMB CBT Centers is its method of ensuring that examination centers are technically and structurally potent enough to foot the smooth running of UTME.
This accreditation process is a crucial first step in preparation for the annual examination.
Certain requirements need to be meet by the Centers to avoid issues that impair the smooth running of the matriculation examination.
PROCEDURES FOR THE ACCREDITATION OF JAMB CBT CENTER.
NEW JAMB CBT CENTERS.
Step one
All new Computer Based Test centers interested in participating in the 2025 UTME exercise should visit and ensure that their center meets the requirements for setting up a JAMB approved CBT center.
Step two
Having meet the stated requirements.
Such centers are to formally write to notify the board of their interest to participate.
Addressing the letter to the JAMB Registrar through the Zonal director or state coordinator in their various states.
The Zonal and State Offices of JAMB will then create accounts for them on the CMS Portal.
This is to facilitate their registration process.
ALREADY EXISTING JAMB CBT CENTERS.
JAMB CBT centers successfully accredited and participated in the 2024 UTME and had no operational issues can go ahead and register.
Such centers are to register their interest via the Centre Management System [CMS] Portal.
On this note, all centers are required to conduct an Autoboot/Autotest on a later date.
The eligible centers will receive the date for the test
This is in preparation for the physical accreditation visit by the Board.
Please note that the Autobot/Autotest is compulsory.
Only centers that successfully complete test and meet the Board’s requirement will be eligible to proceed the next step.
The physical accreditation visit set to hold in December 2024.
Centers that meet all the criteria will be notified concerning their exact visitation date.
